CV
Gabriel Goller, (*1992 in Freiburg, DE) lives and works in Freiburg, DE and Lagos, NG. In 2018 he completed his studies at the Hochschule für Kunst, Design und Populäre Musik (hkdm, Freiburg). He spent semesters in Nigeria and the United States.
In 2018, Goller was part of the group exhibition "Stretched Terrains" at the Dak`Art Biennale in Dakar. Since 2022, he lives and works temporarily in Nigeria, where he is involved in cultural exchange projects.
Goller's practice critically examines the urban landscapes of European and African cities, addressing modern societal challenges and the quest for identity in a globalized world.
His work is marked by the interplay of various media, using screen printing to blend the visual languages of photography and painting into a dynamic synthesis that navigates between direct expression and poetic ambiguity.
